Spooky Scottish tales for Halloween family reading

The following are two rare treasures available http://www.poezie-in-beweging.nl/kaart/newbalance.html inside the King County and Timberland library systems, two collections of tales from Scotland which deserve even more http://www.poezie-in-beweging.nl/kaart/aj.html attention than they have gotten lately. Fireside Tales of the Traveller Children by Duncan Williamson, a Scottish Gypsie story teller, was published in 1983 by Williamson's American wife. The tradition of story telling one of many "travellers", because Scottish nomadic people call themselves, has all but not survived plus the tales in that book will be lost if Linda Williamson hadn't recorded, transcribed エアジョーダン4 and published them. "The boy brilliant boots" could be the Halloween tale with the collection. It is usually what Duncan Williamson calls a "burker story". The travellers feared "burkers", body snatchers, who killed people and sold their body parts to colleges for research (which could quit happening within this country today, could it !?). This can be a medium scary story designed for toddlers.

The ten stories told and authored by Sorche Nic Leodhas in Gaelic Ghosts , 1963, are usually gentle, humorous tales worthy of all age groups. Alger, collected Scottish folktales throughout her life, some from her family, others from people she met on her travels throughout Scotland. She published them under her Gaelic pseudonym, Sorche Nic Leodhas, within the compilation of awardwinning books.
