| REEBOK SETTLES PATENT INFRINGEMENT SUIT AGAINST E
Originals, Inc. concerning ESO's infringement of Reebok's patent for ones PUMP™ technology. ESO sells footwear bearing the GITANO and VOIT trademarks.
In line with Jack Douglas, Reebok's vice president and general counsel, ESO was one of the three providers that Reebok focused on initial litigation for infringement from the PUMP patent. Douglas indicated that Reebok achieved most of its objectives because of the settlement, containing a Consent Judgment.
During the settlement agreement and consent judgment, ESO admitted that PUMP patent is correct and enforceable, admitted infringement, agreed to not ever make or sell shoes that infringe THE PUMP patent and agreed to pay substantial damages to Reebok within a undisclosed amount. The settlement agreement allows ESO's customers to sell through their remaining inventory.
